How your website can be redirecting to porn right under your nose.

How your website can be redirecting to porn right under your nose.

That’s right, this new hacker technique could be occurring right  now and you would have no idea.

No idea, that is, unless you knew where to look.

This is a pretty sneaky and kind of  ingenious way to hack a site and get some longevity out of it.  Recently website hacks with Malware sharing or redirect injections have been on the rise.. like a wildfire in the Southwest.  Because of general public awareness, site owners being more educated to regularly check their site and programs like our Website Protection Plans, detection has become relatively speedy.

This new sneaky technique, however, can go undetected for quite some time if you aren’t checking.

The technique is to inject a conditional redirection on device specific connections….

What does THAT mean?

Well, it means that you can go to your website all day long and never see anything, but when someone views your site on a  tablet or phone or both, it will redirect to a porn site, or other malicious content.  It could be injected only to a tablet connection, or it could only be a phone…  or even sneakier it could be only a specific KIND of phone or tablet based on the operating system of the device.

So what can you do about it?

Either start checking your site on a daily basis on multiple devices or get on a monitoring service to do that for you, 24/7/365
